Every penny counts
SCAt counts on the support of Christians throughout Woking
Each year the SCAt workers and team visit more than 40 schools in the Woking area and reach around 15,000 children and young people through our Primary and Secondary work.
All this takes time and effort and, of course, costs money - currently just over £45,000 per year. This works out at around £1,125 per school - or put it another way - just around £3.00 per year for each of those 15,000 children and young people.
Many churches and individuals in the area already sponsor SCAt through regular monthly or annual giving and we are reliant on, and very grateful for, those donations. But as costs continue to rise, we are now looking to find more people who are willing to help us foot the bill for this vital work - reaching young people with the Christian message. The point here is EVERY PENNY COUNTS! If you are willing to pledge just £5 a month - that will fund the costs of SCAt bringing the Christian message to no less than 20 Woking children each year. A pledge of £10 per month would therefore pay to reach 40 children per year. And of course £1,125 (just under £94 per month) would pay for taking the message to a whole school! Whatever size your contribution, whether it is £5 per month, or £10 per month - it will be so much valued and put to very good use. Can you help?
We want to ensure that the good news of the risen Lord Jesus is shared with every young person at school in Woking ... the bottom line is that this costs us money! We have the staff, the volunteers and the enthusiasm - but we do need your help in funding this important work. If you feel you would like to help us financially (or in any other way) and you can pledge your support, we would love to hear from you! Please do remember - no individual contribution is too small - literally every penny will be put to good use.
