... from one of our Prayer for Schools group co-ordinators

Nine years or so ago, when I first became involved in our newly-formed school prayer group, I really didn't yet see the extent of God's heart or purposes in prayer for schools. Our Primary School prayer group has never had more than five in attendance and only three regular members in recent years, but Jesus promised to be there with just two or three, and He certainly was and is! 

Answers to prayer didn't come overnight, but over the years we have seen the effect of prayer upon the school in many ways, with even a senior member of staff doing an Alpha course and becoming much more vocal about the Christian values of the school. This last year the Lord led us to start a group at our senior school too, and that's a great blessing to the few who are able to come.

As parents we have many concerns for our children's school life: being able to bring these to Jesus, together with other Christian parents really is a wonderful experience - one not to be passed up!!!
