Help … help … help
We really hope that you will not need help in using this site but this page is just in case.
Changes
You may have noticed changes since your last visit. We have completely rewritten the code for the site though the content remains almost the same as before. We did this to conform to modern web standards and to avoid some deprecated practices.
You might have found that the menu on the left disappears off your screen. I'm afraid that this is because the browser you are using does not respect the latest standards (actually they are five years old). It is probably Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE). It is expected that MSIE version 7, which will probably appear during 2006, will overcome this problem. You might want to wait till then, but a much better option is to use the modern free browser Firefox. Firefox version 1.5 will also display some other aspects of the site in a more exciting way.
Another
good browser is Opera which is also available free. ![]()
Scripts
Scripts are used only on one page on the site, that is the Schools page. It has lots of information worth reading. In most cases scripts are enabled by default but, if your browser has disabled the use of scripts, you will miss what is there. The setting will probably be on the Tools menu under 'Options', 'Preferences' or 'Internet options'. Look for 'Content, Enable JavaScript' or similar and set it to enable scripts.
Accessibility and display size
We have aimed to make the site as accessible as possible to all. The size of all text may be altered using your browser's standard text zoom capability.
The site is best viewed using a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. It can be viewed on 800 x 600 screens with little difficulty and the menu area will scroll if required.
It is also designed to work well with handheld 'small screen devices'.
Printing
All pages should print using your browser's file, Print menu. Some browsers may throw page breaks in less desirable places however. Even the schools page will print all the 'concealed' text (though Firefox appears to have trouble with this page - use Opera or MSIE instead).
