Thanking …

Thanksgiving

  • Thank God for all our local schools and the dedicated staff who work in them.
  • Thank God for all the volunteers, Youth Workers and gap year students who work with SCAt. Pray that their team work will continue to enable us to serve you in the ways in which you intend.
  • Praise God for the enjoyment and participation from the children during the Christmas Assemblies
  • Thank God that in this changing world there are still many opportunities opening up in our local schools. We pray for the skilled volunteers who can carry this work forward.

And so, what about the Primary schools?  
Please pray with us:

  • That Patrick and the Assembly Team rest and relax over this holiday period ready for more assemblies in January.
  • For the on-going work of the school clubs and story telling teams. That you may inspire them as they plan next term's activities.
  • That we may continue to support Maybury Infant School through the disruption caused by their building project.
  • As we join with Tearfund to thank schools for their support for the One Christmas event held in December.

… and the Secondary Schools? Please pray with us:

  • For the work we have been doing at SJB and that we will be able to work with the school going forwards.
  • For guidance and discernment as we look at the next steps for SCAt secondary work
  • That we will keep our eyes and eyes open to the opportunities God wants us to grasp.
  • Pray for the safety of all young people as it gets darker earlier particularly during this party season. Keep them from taking risks and help them to act with common sense.

In Autumn 1997, SCAt launched the PRAYER FOR SCHOOLS NETWORK; in Woking bringing together people who have a heart for children and who wish to pray regularly for them. We want to encourage and establish prayer groups for every school in the Woking area (our contribution to the National network), and to connect our school prayer groups together for mutual encouragement, prayer and support. We think it's really important to support the work of SCAt and other Christians who either work in or are involved with schools.

So, check out our map! Consider joining a prayer group where your child attends!
